Rock: Quarried limestone.
Aspect: South facing, sheltered.

Dyserth Castle Slab was developed in 2011 and features unusual climbing with good friction on a large limestone slab in a quarry. Meet at the car park at 6 p.m. or at the crag.

If we crack those routes we could move onto Dyserth Waterfall Crag which has really nice F5’s along with some beefy roofs.

When:

  • Date: 22 Tue May, 2012
  • Time: 17:30
  • Duration: 4 hours

Where:

  • From the A55 come off at junction 31 to take the A5151 signposted to Prestatyn and Dyserth. After 6 miles and just after passing the Dyserth and 30 M.P.H. signs, turn right in the dip into the “Dyserth to Prestatyn Walkway” car park. Head out of the car park to follow the Dyserth to Prestatyn walkway and after about 10 minutes and immediately after crossing over a bridge, take the path on the right signposted “Dyserth Castle”. Follow this footpath for about 100 yards to a junction and turn left down a good track into the quarry. The slab soon appears in front of you.
